Runa Islam

As part of the cultural project 'kunst.nrw.nl' The Netherlands Media Art Institute, Montevideo/Time Based Arts is organizing an exchange programme with the Kunsthochschule für Medien (KHM) in Cologne in the form of a Masterclass. Twelve students and former students from the Rijksacademie, the Sandberg Institute, Amsterdam, and the KHM in Cologne will be participating in the Masterclass. The Masterclass seeks to realize a translocal dialogue and consists of reciprocal workshops and exhibitions. The twelve participants who have been selected will attend a three day workshop in Cologne at the KHM, under the leadership of various professors who teach there. In Amsterdam, the participants will engage in a workshop in Montevideo/TBA's ARTLAB during which they will be visiting various institutions in the field of art and media and collectively producing a broadcast for Amsterdam cable TV (S 5 or Art Channel).
